First Concert

Last week, we saw a deal online for cheap tickets to a weeks worth of concerts. Only one jumped out at us, but it was a good one:

Florence + The Machine!

So we went ahead and bought the tickets. We held out on telling the girls until the day of, because we don’t think they could’ve held their enthusiasm in. When we told them, they were over-the-moon excited. Neither of them had ever been to a concert before!

It was at Cynthia Woods Mitchel Pavilion in The Woodlands – a really great, outdoor venue here in the suburbs of Houston. We packed up our Tribe Provision camping blankets and headed out.

We wanted to not just take them to their first concert, but also share the experience of watching a concert from lawn seating – it was a bit like a (tame) festival crowd. They were a little weirded out by the couple dancing in front of us who were vibing probably a little too hard, but they enjoyed the show. I mean, what’s not to enjoy about a Florence + The Machine concert?!

Me and Mandy have been to a few concerts, but this was our favorite. Florence + The Machine aren’t our favorite band, but they definitely put on our favorite show. Florence has an incredible voice and it translated incredibly to an open venue like that.

We all had a great time, and the girls got to have a great experience, at their first concert. Who did you see at your first concert? Tell us about it in the comments!
